Reviews should reflect what actually happened.

Performance reviews are one of the highest-stakes conversations a manager has with their team, yet most get written from memory the night before they're due. We're building the writing layer that turns real work into fair, cited, bias-checked drafts.

Why we exist

The review is only as fair as the evidence behind it.

The work happens in pull requests, tickets, channel threads, customer calls, and end-of-week emails. By review season, it's scattered across a dozen systems and a year of memory, so managers reach for what they can recall: usually the last month, the loudest voice, or whoever spoke up in standup that morning. That is how recency bias, halo effects, and vague feedback creep in.

PerfCopilot reads the metadata of that work, PR titles, ticket transitions, channel activity, email headers, and uses it to draft a review with citations: every claim links back to a specific signal you can audit. We're a writing layer, not another platform to migrate to, so teams keep the tools they already trust and just get a better first draft.

Our take

AI helps with the synthesis. It doesn't replace the judgment.

Reviews should be grounded in what someone actually did, and the evidence already exists in the systems your team uses every day. PerfCopilot drafts the review with citations. The manager edits, refines, decides on the rating, and ships. The manager is still the author; the system is the research assistant.

How we think about data

We read metadata, not contents.

PR titles and ticket statuses, yes; message bodies and email contents, no. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We don't train AI models on your data: generation runs through Anthropic's API under terms that preclude training. You own your data, including when you cancel. The full legal version lives on privacy; controls, sub-processors, and the DPA live on security.

If we can't trace a claim to a real signal, we don't make it. No invented accomplishments, ever.

Fairness first

Bias checks ship as a default, not a premium add-on. Fair feedback shouldn't sit behind a paywall.

The manager makes the call. We hand over a strong first draft and stay out of the judgment.

Earn trust with data

Read-only, least-privilege, revocable. We read metadata, not contents, and protect what we touch.
